The people of Suwayda renewed their demands in today’s protests, emphasizing the political transfer of power and the implementation of UN Resolution 2,254.
The people of As-Suwayda continue their protests in Al-Sir Al-Karama Square in the center of the city, to emphasize their demands to overthrow the regime and implement UN Resolution 2,254, which its entering it’s third month in a row.
Hundreds of protesters renewed their demands by raising banners with various phrases written on them, including “Life in its authenticity is a revolution, so always be a revolutionary,” “It is a great Syria, not Assad’s Syria,” and “Our only joy is the political transfer of power.”
A video clip from the town of Melh in the Suwayda countryside, reported by the Suwayda 24 website, showed the unveiling of a plaque bearing two pictures of the map of Syria, and of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash, with the slogan “Religion is for God and the homeland is for all,” on the facade of the municipality, instead of pictures of Hafez and Bashar al-Assad, during a demonstration took place in the town yesterday, Sunday, in the presence of delegations from neighboring regions.
