Both sides stressed the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibilities by providing the required support to the Autonomous Administration to combat and eradicate terrorism once and for all, and to do what is necessary in terms of conducting trials for ISIS mercenaries.
The Autonomous Administration of NE Syria briefed the Norwegian Red Party on the content of its latest initiative to solve the Syrian crisis, amid the latter’s affirmation of its support for a political solution and participation of all Syrian components in shaping the features of the future Syria.
This came during a meeting with the representative of the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria in Europe, Abdul Karim Omar, yesterday, with a delegation from the Norwegian Red Party in the capital, Oslo.
AANES launched an initiative, on April 18, to solve the Syrian crisis, which included 9 items that take into account and grant rights to the Syrian people, guarantee the safe return of refugees, and affirm that Syrian wealth is a right for all Syrians, and clarifies its commitment to a political solution and resolving the crisis through the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
The two sides exchanged views regarding the Syrian crisis, which has been going on for more than a decade, and its disastrous repercussions on various aspects and fields of human, economic, security and other life, according to the official website of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration.
The absence of any a political solution in the foreseeable future, and the blockage of all political tracks, were also discussed, as well as recalling the Russian attempts to bring about reconciliation between the Damascus government and the Turkish state and the negative repercussions of these endeavors on the political process, in addition to the attempts of some Arab countries to restore relations with Damascus.
Abdul Karim Omar briefed the Norwegian delegation on the recent initiative launched by the Autonomous Administration to solve the Syrian crisis, and the positive echoes of the initiative among components of Syria, elite politicians and opponents.”
He also referred to the continuation of violations in the occupied Syrian regions, including killings, kidnappings, rape and the destruction of historical monuments, saying: “All of these practices are carried out in a systematic and deliberate manner, and their aim is to force the indigenous people in those areas to migrate and change their demographic composition.”
Omar also pointed out to the continuation of the Turkish occupation’s attacks on NE Syria through daily artillery shelling, in addition to targeting unarmed civilians and fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces through drones.
The two sides discussed, in particular, the situation in NE Syria, the political, economic, humanitarian and security challenges faced by the Autonomous Administration, the danger posed by ISIS cells and the conditions of ISIS mercenaries in detention centers and their families inside the camps.

The Norwegian delegation expressed its appreciation for the sacrifices made by NE Syria in the face of terrorism, and expressed its support for a political solution in accordance with UN Resolution 2254, stressing at the same time the importance of the participation of all Syrian components in shaping the features of a future Syria.”
