Former President of the French Republic, Francois Holland, welcomed Khalid Issa, a Representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in France, and they discussed the political situation in Syria, especially in North and East Syria.
Holland expressed his acknowledgement of the Syrian Democratic Forces that did not stop fighting ISIS, in cooperation with the international coalition.
Mr Holland considers that any likely attack on Rojava will expose the achievements were made against the jihadists. Also, it will obstruct the operations that are still ongoing against the sleeper cells of the terrorists.
Moreover, he declared his fears that any attack will destabilize North and East Syria and will have serious consequences for the future of peace, and for the whole region.
Mr Holland strongly advocates for a peaceful and transparent solution to all problems.
Finally, he expressed his full solidarity with the people of the region, and calls on the Turkish government to avoid any action that seriously worsens the situation.
